Context
EMJ’s core output is its portfolio of medical journals, spanning 18 therapy areas. These publications are released within 30 days of global medical congresses, reporting the latest insights and data from leading healthcare professionals in each field.

Challenge
A key design challenge was the turnaround for each publication. Working within tight deadlines and limited production windows, it was essential to develop efficient templates, maintain consistency, and solve problems quickly without compromising quality.

Impact
I contributed to the production of over 100 journals as well as an increase of over 50% in viewership, sessions, active users, returning users, event count and engaged between 2024 and 2025.

Challenge
In July 2024, EMJ shifted from audio to video podcasts, releasing two episodes a week. I stepped into a design lead role to challenge myself and build my skills, improving efficiency across the production process.

Outcome
I created the audio and visual identity, developed my skills in Premiere Pro, and introduced Frame.io to streamline feedback. I built templates, trained the team on best practices, and improved workflows, moving from manual audio enhancement to AI-supported processes.

Impact
The improvements led to a significant increase in engagement across all touch points driving a 105% increase in viewership and 151% increase in total clicks. This contributed to EMJ being shortlisted as a finalist in the PPA Awards.
